Sister and brother team Boapud "Ahn" Lincoln and Rungsun Suwannaprcha opened Royal Thai in Downtown Auburn in March of 2009.

"There aren't too many Thai restaurants up here, so we thought this would give us a good opportunity to showcase Thai food and Thai ingredients," Suwannaprcha said.

Lincoln arrived in the United States from Thailand in 1995 and Suwannaprcha joined her in 2003. Both have worked at area Thai restaurants for a number of years.

Lincoln owns the restaurant and Suwannaprcha was the manager until he opened another Thai restaurant in Davis in 2010. The two worked together on compiling the menu and Lincoln provides expertise to the kitchen staff.
